F1 Status

I am a graduate student on F1. I have completed all my course work and have just my thesis to defend. I had registered for 1 thesis credit in fall 2001 and for 9 thesis credits in Spring 2002. now in summer 2002 i have registered for 1 thesis credit. Does this make me out of status.
 
In many schools summer terms are optional

Many schools dont require you to take summer terms because of fewer class offering and faculty is also working on reduced schedules. Increase of 1 Cr from fall 2001 to increase to 9 Cr in spring 2002 can be backed up by letter/explanation from your thesis chair and Intl office.
