F1 stamping from Canada

Hi All,
Can anyone advice please?
I am currently in US on H1B visa. My wife was on H4. We changed H4 to F1 last year from US. Is it possible to get F1 stamping on passport from Canada? We have applied for PR just now, and in case everything goes fine, we donot want to goto India and take a chance for F1 stamping rejection. Apparently there are many rejections now a days from India.

Please share any information you have.

Technically it should be possible. Since after you land, you become PR of Canada (so it sort of becomes your 'home' country). Look at US consulate Canada websites and see if they have any info. Isnt there a contact number for the US consulates in Canada??
