If I obtain and F1 student visa stamped on my passport based on an I-20 with a start date in september 2004, then I postponed my admission by one quarter to start around january 2005, and the school issued me a new I-20 for the new quarter.
Assuming that the original visa stamp issued for september 2004 is still valid by the time I enter the US in january 2005.
My question is:
Do I need to revisit the embassy in my home country and get a new visa stamp based on the new I-20 or can I just use the existing visa stamp and present the new I-20 at the port of entry?
