F1 - out of status for registering 10 days late

I am a student on F1 visa. I had to enroll for full credits by the add drop deadline. However I only enrolled for one course (3 credits). however, 10 days after the deadline I enrolled for 9 more and came to full time. My ISO says Im out of status. I read on some websites that the SEVIS should be notified of your registration within 30 days of the add drop deadline and for me I was full time way before that period. can anyone tell me if this has happend to them. If I have to apply for reinstatement, I will lose my RA for three months and I have a job offer in the pipeline which might become problematic.
 
my suggestion is that you should go to the registrar's office to get a letter of attendance stating how many credits you enrolled in. keep this letter for your records and contact sevis. your school should normally fix ths for you.
