Hi,
I am currently on an F1 visa. I just graduated with my masters this May and am on my OPT period.
I still haven't yet gotten a job.
Now, I am getting married in November this year, in India. My fiance is working in a company here in US and they have applied for his H1B visa, which would hopefully get approved. If anything goes wrong, he would be able to get OPT STEM extension.
Now, I need to know these:
1. Assuming his H1B gets approved, how do I go about applying for the H4 visa?
2. I want to return to the US with him after getting married. So is it possible to go to the visa interview when he needs to get his visa stamped?
3. How long does it take for the H4 visa to be approved?
4. My F1 visa is actually valid for 2 more years. But I am on OPT now. So once I apply for H4 and it is approved, would my F1 visa terminate immediately?
5. What if I get a job with a company that is willing to do my H1 visa, while the H4 application is pending?
6. Supposing something goes wrong with the H1 approval, God forbid, would I be able to apply for F2?
Any other issues I need to watch out for?
