F1-OPT-H1 - Not completed Masters yet - Please help

Hi,
I came here in Aug'2002 in F1 and got into OPT in Dec'03 and got H1 in Oct' 2004 from a very reputated company.

Problem is I have not completed my last 3 credits(independent study) yet. WIll it be a problem to go to Canada(Ottawa) for stamping. I am planning on going in the end of January but don't want to take risk.

Please let me know if it is a potential risk or any case you know that is similar to mine got the Visa/rejected.

Any help will be highly appreciated.

It would depend on what your H1 was filed as.

In most cases, the job req. would be written as Bachelors degree (example). So your attorney should have had your educational qualifactions evaluated. So if the petition is based on that and you are going for stamping then it should not be a problem.

I don't know if it would be a problem if req. was Masters and Masters is not completed.
