F1 OPT/EAD Approval time

guys,

Thought this might help somebody wondering how long will it take to get OPT/EAD approved at Nebraska.

I had applied for my F1 OPT/EAD on Feb 24th 2003 and asked for start date as 19th may '03...but the OPT was approved only on july 18th '03....It took almost 5 months for EAD to be approved.
and i got my opt only for 10 months...

Someone I know applied in Nov 24th. She is still waiting for OPT approval. When she talked to the USCIS last week, They told her that it might take another month or so for approval.
