I'm on a F1 visa. My wife joined me here on a F2 in Oct 2005. She got an admission in a program and her change of status to F1 was also approved-March 2006 . She also got an on-campus job offer over the summer and the program starts in August 2006. But the DSO says that she can start job only a month before the program starts, as F1s are allowed to come only before a month. But in this case she was already here and her F1 COS was approved months back, so why is she not allowed to work?
Is that the truth or is there anything can be done, which will allow her to work?
