F1 issue...please advice

Hi All;
I am on H1 employed full time. I am doing my ph.d also. The school has offered me Research Assistantship includes tution and monthly stipened.
Please, I need an advice from you experts, me being on H1 and not F1, is there any way I can accept this assistantship which involves being paid stipened. My understanding was on H1, I cannot accept pay checks anyone else other then my employer (in whose name my H1 is)

Generally one cannot be paid as an RA when in H1. It may be possible if the university files a H1 and the original employer's H1 is modified to make it part time. Not legal advice.
