Long time ago I was on F1 (student), then used EAD (practical training) to work and now I am on H1B (valid until 2005). My I-485 is pending, but I need to travel in the near future. I have a valid H1B approval (I-797A) but no H1 visa stamp in my passport since I simply transferred from F1 to H1B. Now the question: will the lack of a visa in my passport be a problem when I try to re-enter the US?
