This is related to my H1 B visa.I am a student on F1
visa started my studies in Jnauary 2003. So its just
8-9 months I am here in US.I am now being made an
offer in a good firm and they have also started
processing my H1(Premium Visa processing). This firm
has no recent issues of lay offs and things like that

I have a BS degree form India in CS and also worked
for 1 year in the same previous company before coming
here for my Masters. Also in the summer I had a
CPT(Curricular Practical Training) in the same company
for 3 months. Now an offer is made in the same company
and they have started my H1 processing with premium
option.

I wanted to know if I could get my H1 since I will be
quitting my studies. I also plan to take up part time
studies for MS.Also I am a teaching assitant at my
university. so what consequences will I have to face
to leave the studies and teaching assitant mid
semester? Is ten trasnfer from F1 to H1 without OPT
easy r chances of getting rejected r more? Also if My
H1 gets rejected I still have my F1 status?

If your BS degree is equivalent to a US BS degree, then you should be able to get the H1B. But you cannot get an assistanship (TA/RA) while on H1B. You should talk to the international students advisor as well.

Hi..I am facing the same issue now..I am in F-1 status pursuing 3rd semester of my course...i had cpt with one employer who is now ready to sponsor h-1 for me...i have bachelor degree equivalent to US bachelors and also experience...Now i have three major questions
1. Can I apply for H1B since slots for fiscal year 2011 are still open ?
2. If yes (I can apply) then can i apply in US degree(since i am gonna continue my Master's degree) special quota?
3. Since My employer wants me to join asap, can i work with H-1 reciept?

Please do answer thanks
