F1 Entry Date

My brother got a F1 visa, his classes start on Sep 6, 2006. However I want him to come and spend some time with me. I have two questions

1. His school is in Chicago, can he enter US in Seattle, is port of entry an issue

2. I have heard he can not enter US 30 days before the classes start. Is this true.

1.yes...he can enter usa anywhere and it wouldn't b a problem. He'll just need to explain to the officer at the port of entry incase he is asked.

2.True. If he wishes to enter USA more than 30 days prior to the start date he will have to get a visitors visa.

1. You can enter at any port. However, the customs will ask why you decided to fly into Seattle instead of Chicago.

2. Yes, you can only enter 30 days before school is scheduled to start, or you'll need to apply separately for a visitor's visa.

i had my interview on the 4th of may i was granted a via however i have been put into the admin processing its been 7 weeks now i dint get any response my university is gonna start soon wat am i supposed to do how long will it take help me out
