I am finishing my Master's in May 2005 . My I-20 is valid until May 31st 2005.
Visa expires on July 16th 2005.
For some reason, I am not eligible to apply for OPT after I finsih my Master's(I was out of status in Jan 2005 - made a reentry). So I got a PhD admission for the Summer semester. (June 1 - August 10)
But I don't have money to pay for the summer semester. I am planning to enroll for the Fall semester (August 26-Dec16)
Is it possible for me to stay here in the US after my master's degree legally without enrolling in classes until August, considering that I have the 2 month grace period after the degree? Also, does my visa expriration on Jul 16th pose any other kind of problems? And, if I begin my PhD during Fall, without enrolling in Summer, do I have to make a reentry?
