Hi everyone
I need sincerely your advise in this regard. I had F1 student visa and currently doing my Ph.d in management. Recently my university wants to join me as full time faculty and applied for me and my family J1 visa. As i am in toronto i applied for J1 visa(2008) from US embassy, Toronto for me and J2 for my wife and two daughters. The visa officer asked me about my F1 status which i was holding during the time and she told that i have applied my F1 visa (2007) from singapore and during the time the my institute given me supporting document demonstrating that they are going to start an operation in singapore and i will be employed in it. It seems that now you are in Canada? how? Meanwhile i have completed 1.5 years of study at USA somehow the operations never materialized and meanwhile i got my canadian migrant status and migrated to canada with family.
Pointing that to me, she asked about my stand why are you not back to singapore and now you want to go to US as full time faculty. I told as the operation has not materialized and they want to train me at the university so that they can deploy me anywhere. She was suspicious about me and she served the pink colour sheet with sec 214(b) saying that i am seem to be potential migrant and she even cancelled my F1 status. Now i am stuck here at canada and cannot proceed for my ph.d studies.
Could everyone guide me and advise me regarding this issue and how do i reinstate my visa status and will it be a problem for me for ever whenever i apply for my visa??? I am confused about those issue. (sorry it is too long but i want to narrate the actual incident) kindly advise me.
