I am planning to apply for F1 visa in Mumbai (India) consulate. Does anybody have any information regarding success rate in Mumbai Consulate after Sep. 11? Have they stopped student visa processing? Please let me know urgently.

Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot in advance.

I got my F1

I got my F1 on Nov. 30th without any trouble. They have not stopped the visa processing. I used drop box facility for this.

f-1 denied twice: what to do now?

My brother applied for F-1 visa twice at New Delhi Consulate in last two weeks but denied both the times. What are his options now. What is the success rate for mail visa, which is his last chance. He was not given any objection in writing. The only thing that the officer said was - "why do you want to go U.S. for M.B.A. education at this age. He is under 35 years.
Please advise was are his options. Thanks a lot.

As per the consulate (Mumbai) officer, now a days you are not advised to reapply to consulate immediately once your visa is denied (He was speaking in some function in bombay). Your brother applied twice in 2 weeks span is not a wise thing to do. Only I can suggest is do not apply to consulate for some time. Also get the professional help (preparing for the interview etc), which may aid in someway or other.

Best luck!
