f1 after 485 filing

My wife is on F1 status. We filed 485 for her last month based on my approved 140. As we heard that F1 status is invalidated automatically after 485 filing. My wife is doing campus teaching. My question is can she still work at this time? or she has to stop working until get EAD approval? Thanks

She would have to wait till the EAD approval and the reason being that F1 is not a dual intent visa unlike H1 wherein u could still continue to work in H1
