I am on H1 and my wife on H4. She filed a change of status (I-539) on Aug 7th to obtain a F-1 visa. Recently she got an enquiry from Vermont Service centre and they are asking for more documents.
There is a big list of docs that they have asked, but the most difficult thing is to establish the first one. I would need some suggestions on how to reply to the first one, because rest of the list is doable.
1. Evidence to establish that you have a residence abroad and intend to return.
2. Evidence that you have paid the school tution in the form of a cancelled check, money order or receipt from school.
3. Original course descriptions and schedule for each of the courses taken.
4. Last four bank statements from your nbank account, which were used to establish that you have sufficient funds to financially support your studies. (Bank statemnts only, no letters from the bank.
Some of the points that came to my mind to counter the first point are: Showing INS that I am on H1 and it expires in 2004. Show some of the property docs which I have in India. ANy other thoughts are welcome.
