My F-1 visa will expire in May. I'm currently on OPT, which expires in July, 2004. I'm in the process of applying for H1-B through my employer. I am subject to the H1-B cap. I do realize that I won't be able to work at least until the beginning of October (that's if my H1-B gets approved), because of the cap. What should I do between the end of July and beginning of October (roughly 3 months)?
1 - If I go with premium processing, and lets say, my H1-B is approved by the end of March(but I will only be allowed to work starting October), will I be able to finish off my OPT?
2 - If yes, will I be allowed to stay in the US July through October, before I can start working again?
3 - If yes, will I be able to maybe take some summer classes in order not to waste my time?
