I am currently enrolled (full-time) in Graduate School. Although my F-1 expired in December 2002, I have valid I-20 which keeps me "student" status. I used up the one year OPT in 2002. I recently got a job offer and will be working as a Summer intern (CPT) until end of August 2004. My H1 will start in October. For the month of September, if I do not register for classes, will I be out of status? Septemper 2004 is the only month I need valid student status and registering for Fall 2004 semester means $5000 for me. Please advise.
