Hello All,
I have a query regarding F1-Reinstatment.I was a student in UTA for Fall 2003 and Spring 2004.Later i left USA in Summer 2004 to do internship in Switzerland.Now i plan to come back to USA in FAll 2005 to complete my MS.I got a readmission from my university and a new I-20 .When i called local US Embassy call center ,they told me that i need to get a new F1 visa since i have stayed out of USA for more than 5 months,which i feel is absurd because my F1 visa is valid till July 2008.
But my university has something totally different response.University is telling me to that since my F-1 visa is valid and i have a new I-20 to readmit me in Fall 2005 semester so I just need to pay I-901 fees so that my F1 is Reinstated.
Can any one please guide me on this matter very urgently ,
