My I-20 expires in September and my school is giving me an extension on that till the 15th of December. I plan to have my EAD card by the time my I-20 expires so I will not be out of status. I was wondering if it would be advisable to travel to India in early december and return around the 25th after my I-20 has expired but I still have a valid EAD card but WITHOUTa standing job offer. Will I face trouble returning to the US in such a case.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here or lead me to a previous post in which this question has been addressed.
