People I just spoke to the IIO, and she gave me the foll. info. (actually she was quite nice to speak to)
Now they are not sending out any calls for FP till the file gets to the officer who looks at the case, she mentioned that this was done because the FP has a 15 month limit, also she said that since the PD is not current even though the officer would approve the case the 485 would still not be complete till the PD would get current (so that confirms that)
Current dates they are looking at are Aug 1 1999, they would now take up cases directly decide whether all issues are in order and then send out FP notices.
I know that this is not something new, but by finally speaking to her I know that looks like I have some time to go.

Today I also talked to VSC IIO and she also gave me a similar kind of answer. She said that since the days have regressed for most of the cases filed in Oct/Nov 99(as they are processing these for FP) they can\'t send FPs for each and every case because of its 15 mos validity period. Hence they are reviewing each and every case and if they believe that a particular falls within the limits of PD and country quota, they will send FPs to only those people.

Hi Ravi Shankar,

When they say \'country quota\', does that mean for Fiscal Year 2000 or Fiscal Year 2001? I don\'t know if you were able to gather this info, since you might have had just a few mins to talk with the IIO...I don\'t know your case details either, but did the IIO give you any idea as to when you might get a FP notice?

Any info would be highly appreciated....

I do not know whether she meant 2000/2001 quota. She also did not want to comment as to when I am going to the FP notice.
