extension

We are aged 69 & 59 years--our sons are in USA.Our intention to visit at times ,stay with 2 families & return to Chennai.

1)We both husband and wife came in 2000. with 6 months visiter's visa and returned with in the due date of I-94

2)2nd trip we both came with 2 years visa(B2) stayed for 6 months and also got extension for another 6 months and returned within the mentioned period

3)Now we got 10 years multiple (B2) visa. 3rd trip we came to USA in OCT 2006 with 6 months stamped on the I-94. We like to apply for an extension for 6 months to attend 2 grand children's FIRST Birth days

Questions
A). Is it possible to get the extension approved?

B). If we get approval & stay ,Will it be a problem in our Future next visits?

You can try to extend, but the reason you give for extension, (birthday) will probable not work, medical grounds maybe

It may well be the immigration officer thinks you have immigrant intent so may deny.

In order to get approval you must

1, Show strong family ties to home country

2, Show financial ties to home country

3. Show emotional ties to hoem country
