extension using other company's GC filing

Company A - Previous employer
Company B - New employer.
I have filed GC from company A in 2/2002.
I want to do 7th year extension of my H1B from Company B
1) Do I have to take any kind of clearence from company A or do I have to inform Company A that I will be using the GC filing to get extension from company B.
2) If labor is approved for GC from company A. Can I still use it to get extension from company B.
If yes then what proof I have to give while filing for extension - only EDD of company A'a GC, or the latest status of GC which is labor.
3) If labor is approved for GC from company A, and company A used this labor for some other employee, Can I still use this GC filing to get extension from company B.
