Extension of H4 while 485 is Pending

I was told by my company that there is no need to go for my H4 extension if my 485 is pending???

there is no need !! yes as one can stay on AOS status.
it is needed as back up to remain on status if by chance I-485 gets denied!!

Hmm.. what means 'your company', do you work there? But having H-4 you cannot work..??? Do you work using EAD? If yes, your H-4 became invalid anyway.

My suggestion would be to insit on getting H4 extended. Its anyway going to cost only $110.

If for any reason your 140/485 denied, she goes out of status the same day and its hassel to bring her back to status. You may also have issues with License, if you live in NJ and travelling.
