extension of B-1 visa second time

Is there any problem If I extend the B-1 visa second time after 6 months?

I came to USA on B-1 visa on 22nd Nov 2003 for 3 months. Before completion of 3 months, my company was applied for another 3 months extension. My visa exipiration date is 21st May 2003. I didn't get any letter from INS about acceptance/rejection of my application for the extension which was applied 3 months ago. Now, they are applying for the extension on same visa.

My company people told me that if INS rejected my first extension, then I need to leave the USA immd. If I do like this, there is no problem.

I heard from the friends that if they rejected my extension which was applied 3 months ago, it will be a probelm for me when I apply for any visa in future.
