I have a TN1 visa to work in USA until Dec 8th. This was not approved until after we were in the USA. My domestic partner of course wishes to remain with me. I have a I94, he does not.(We didn't know to get one at the border when we crossed in Nov) What would be the best approach? Can he return to Canada at the end of our first 6 months here, stay for a day then return to USA for another 6 months? (We cannot find someone who can give us a an answer in regards to this.) This would take us about to the one year mark, then we could apply for an extended visitors visa when I apply for renewal of my TN1 visa. Or is it possible for him to get the exended visitors visa now so he does not have to fly home? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
