Extended review

HI GUYS: I am again. After my 2 interviews one in November and 2nd separately in the begining of January 2009. I received a letter on April 2nd to wait for another six months because there is an extended review is going on my application. Can any one please tell me what is the meaning of Extended Review.

Background checks are completed

Application is on hold in atlanta office.

My wife is white us citizen and i am asian. I came on H1B in 2002 and got married before it expires. I think I am the only one wh is stuck with the uscis since over 4 years.
