Hi,
My wife came to the US on an F-2 visa, but her visa got expired while I was in School with a valid I-20. Then I transfered to OPT , my interenational student advisor told me that my wife can stay as long as I am on OPT even though her visa is expired.
The officer said my wife's status is legal till the time my OPT is valid.
Please let me know if this is correct. It has been 4 months since my wife's F-2 has expired. SHE IS AN IRANIAN citizen and I am an INDIAN citizen.
Please guide me if I need to take any action, to get her a legal status here.
