This question has been dealt with before, but perhaps not definitively. I have an Advanced Parole document issued on March 2, 2005 which states:
Presentation of the orgininal document prior to 3/2/06 will authorize an immigration officer at a port of entry in the United States to permit the named bearer...to enter the United States.
I first re-entered the US with this AP document on Aug. 31, 2005. The officer stamped it, indicating the following:
I'm not sure I understand the difference between these dates. Does my AP expire one year from the date of issue (3/2/06), or one year from my date of re-entry (8/30/06)?
If the later date validates my status as an adjustee, wouldn't that in itself be grounds for being paroled back into the country?
Hope that makes sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Purpose: To resume application for adjustment of status
