Experts Please Help F2B petition

Hi all the experts:

My mother is GC holder filed a peition for me under F2B category. She is now eligible for citizenship. In the meantime, I got married and later divorced. Is my F2B petition still valid and can it be changed to F1 after my mother gets citizenship?

I think it depends on your age at that time. Family 1 category applies only if you are below 21 years. Good luck.
