I had applied for EAD in Oct 2002 (RD 10/1/2002), and haven't received it yet. However I went to SJ INS office and got iEAD. Now that iEAD is expiring soon and I was wondering if I can go and apply for another iEAD for the same pending EAD application.
As a safety net I have applied for another EAD based on the expiration of iEAD. So I can get iEAD for the newer EAD app.
But I want to know the if techincaly I could do that... I think the first EAD application is lost for good and I am never going to see any update on that (the status is perpetually "Your application was received on Oct 1, 2002. It is taking....")
Experts comment please?
