Experiences on filing dependent I-485 on your "own"

My I-485 has been pedning with NSC for more than 2 years . Now I am planning to get married. I wanted to know how safe is it to file the dependent I-485 on your own instead of going through the lawyer.

Are there any guys on this forum who have successfully filed and got the spouse i-485 approved on their own.

Please put your experiences on filing the dependent -485 on your own instead of going through a lawyer.

I cannot really answer your question but you might want to get married quickly. Once your I-485 is approved, your spouse has to go through a lenghty process I believe if you file for him/her after that. So better marry and file I-485 quickly so that he/she can adjust status along with you. This is what I gathered from other posts -- please check for yourself, though.

Filing dependent's case is not all that difficult provided you know what you are doing. There are ample immigration sites to help this kind of issues. Immihelp.com is one of them:

It's better to get married quick, preferably before approval.
