We are thinking of contacting senator/CogressMan about my spouse AOS.
Mine was approved 6 months before and later USCIS admitted that they had sent spouse doc to National Recoirds Center by mistake. When attorney queried again, thru AILA laison, he got the reply that now its on "Name checking " waiting. Though thats what USCIS claims now, I am not 100% sure that they got my papers from Garage. Attorney claims that he cannot do anything once its on 'Name check pending"..

I think now its time to think about 'next step' and not sure what to do..

FOIPA/Ombudsman/Senator ?? ?

I am trying to find whether anyone has experience with TX senators ? John Cornyn and Kay Hutchison. Who (Whose office) is more immigration friendly and really help us ?

Senator or Congresman ? who can better help us... I am in houston and if any of you contacted any Houston based Congressman, please share your experience as well.

Any help is really appreciated..
Thanks.

Even we are in the same boat infact worse actually , In our case both of our cases are not approved , When we contacted USCIS through our attorney they responded with namecheck of principal applicant and becasue of primary case is pending the derivative case is also pending .If any one can share their experiences with the senators in Texas , or any suggestions on how to approach this scenario . reallt appreciate your inputs ..

My I-485 case is also pending from Nov 2005. My related question is : can't a state senator/representative help in this case considering it is primarily a TSC case. I assume TSC can definitely expedite the name check process.

Any experiences from state level senator/representative, please tell us.

I know my friend's wife GC was stuck in Austin and they contacted state senator/representative and he was very helpful in expediting the approval and card. Not sure though if it was TSC delayed processing or name check related.

Thanks,
Ash
