experience with fingerprint rescheduling

Hi, Has anyone rescheduled their fingerprints ? i am about to send it in for rescheduling, but was wondering what kinda of delays/experience you ran in to !
 
If your reschedule involves an earlier date, I have seen annecdotal reports of people doing an earlier walk-in and having no problems.
Please post your own timeline, and feedback on your experience after your rescheduling.

i need to postpone mine, as i am going to be out of country at the time of fingerprinting.

Try to do walk-in first. Take your plane tickets with you to explain that you are flying out of country and can't make it on scheduled date.

Most likely, they will allow you to get your fingerprinting done right then.

Oh, try to go during non-busy time.
 
I was in the same situation. My appointment was originally on March 2. I asked to have it re-scheduled. My new appointment was March 15. I don't think my overall timeline was impacted by it. Fingerprint interviews are easy to get. I wouldn't worry about re-scheduling.
 
Save yourself some headache and go now for the fingerprint, take airplane tickets with you, but if they are not busy they will probably not care and take you in without having to give any excuses. Perhaps different ASC have different policies, and it depends how busy they are. I went early, on a day that the place was empty and they took me in without any questions.

We rescheduled my daughter's GC renewal FP appointment (it was scheduled during her end of year exams at school) (Dallas DO, north Dallas ASC). We followed the instructions on the notice and send in some preferred dates. It was rescheduled to one of those dates and we got the notice back in less than 2 weeks.
