Experience with AP

Just want to share my experience with travelling documents, that I applied recently at TSC. I applied online on May 12, 2007, also submitted all corresponding documents with photos for my family. I noticed LUDs on all cases on June 20 and 21, which was a good sign, but nothing more followed after that. The problem is -- my family have to leave on June 30 (tomorrow), so I contacted TSC numerious number of times to find out the status of the case. The outcome was a little confusing. Depending on the person on the phone I was getting response that a) case is approved on June 25 and b) case is pending.
Today I called several times againg to both TSC and NSC getting the same
dual response. Finally, I was connected to emigration officer who told me that
everything is OK and the approved AP forms were sent to my address on June 25. That was a great relief to know, but I still was wondering why this information has not been updated online. Looks like they don't have an answer
for that. An hour ago I checked my mailbox and got all the travelling documents I needed. That seems to finally be a happy ending.
I still wonder why they have not updated the status of my case online.
Just another observable that shows how inefficiently this system works.

They don't consistently update the online status. They are only consistent with being inconsistent.

I think the online status changes and emails are mostly generated from somebody deliberately clicking a button somewhere, not automatically generated from the act of registering approval of AP/EAD/etc. If they forget to click that button, it doesn't get sent. Or if they click a different button, you get a useless message like "we mailed the document" without saying what document.
