My daughter got I485 approved on 6/23/2005, the approved notice said no action, wait for BM notice if required. we waited 60 days, nothing happened, called USCIS a week ago, got a e-mail today states:

"On 6/23/2005 we mailed you an Approval Notice requesting that you call
customer service to schedule an appointment to go to an Application
Support Center (ASC) to have your fingerprint and photo taken. We need
this information to create your permanent resident card. Please call
customer service at the number provided below to schedule an appointment at an ASC. Please tell the representative on the phone you need to make a
type "1" appointment at an ASC. In the future, if you change your
address please contact customer service at the number provided below."

BUT, the approval notice didn't request us to call anywhere. anyway, does anybody know what is a type "1" appointment? Can we choose the ASC center for appointment?

Thanks

It seems its simple Biometrics call, many ppl shared fp types,

few months ago ppl were used to go to INS office to get stamp, and then they wait. USCIS made changes and when applicant is called for FP they also take FP(all fingers) and additionaly , they take index FP print, pic and sign.

Not recalling exactly but ppl who need get FP done with Biometrics is Type ??
and ppl go there only for Biometrics (not all fingures FP) is Type ??

If she had already got the approval that make sure that she don't need to go thorugh agian for FP/ check. only biometrics will be taken.

Good Luck
