Experience Sharing : FP appointment request in SF center

Has anyone tried to obtain a FP appointment from the SF INS center. I have seen some posts from people who have done that from the San Jose office, but none from San Frnacisco office.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I went to the San Francisco INS office (NOT the ASC) today to attempt to get a FP appointment. They simply refused. They said that they cannot deal with my application as it has not yet been transferred over to the local office (it is still with the CSC).

They suggested that I write to the CSC - but I suspect that thay may not be significantly faster than waiting for them to re-schedule another FP appointment.

This is very different from the feedback that we have got for the San Jose INS office. I guess there isn\'t a common guideline for these matters.

Hi Simple Simon,

This is very discouraging for those come under San Francisco INS
jurisdiction. I think they can issue finger print notices like
San Jose, but simply do not want to help us.
