Experience of FP at NEWARK ,NJ Center -- SKS

Can anybody share his/her Finger prints (FP) experience at NEWARK ,NJ. What is the best day and time to go . What about saturdays . If Saturdays are very busy then what is the best time on weekdays . I heard that instead of going too early in morning , afternoon is a good time to go .
Can I go a day or two earlier than the schedule date . Are they very particular for those dates mentioned in FP notice.
Please share your experience .

I think they are particular about the dates. Going in the afternoon will not help. Newark is brutal. They do only 400 FPs per day-200 in AM and the rest in PM. My husband went at 7:00AM am and he got a number in the 200 range and got his FP done at 3:00 PM. The next week I went at 6:00 AM and I got a number in the lower 100s and I got mine done around 11:30. All 400 numbers get issued in the AM and the rest of the people are sent home after standing on the sidewalk for several hours. The day I went (5/99), it was raining and no one had any pity on you. Although the FP notice says you need one form of photo ID, Newark did wanted something other than your Driver\'s license. I did not know that until I was there, but fortunately, I had my EAD with me. I am not scaring you, but just warnings that will help you. I also do not know whether things have improved since I went.

PS: Also please ready to put up with the attitudes of a bunch of kids just out of high school who do your FP and treat you like a no body. Post your experience. Good Luck!
