Experience letter - Gurus please advise

Hi,

I am planning to get my Labor filed through some other employer sometime in the future. However, as per experiences of my ex-colleagues in my organization, they have never been given an experience letter by the company. The only thing they provide is the relieving letter.

I have read from previous posts that experience letter is mandatory for green card process. Now, my questions are :

1. If I give my employer the 4 weeks required notice period, will it be legal for my company to deny Experience letter ? What steps should I take if they still deny?

2. Will Relieving letter and pay stubs suffice ? Is experience letter mandatory?

3. I read that an affidavit of colleagues is also fine. However, I have worked on multiple projects in this company, some at offshore and been relocated at onsite too. It will be difficult for me to get affidavits from colleagues of each and every project. The only thing feasible for me is Experience letter from my company. Is there any way by which my company will be compelled to give me an experience letter?

Thanks in advance...
