Hi,
I have filed my labor and now i have to collect Experiece Letter for I140. Can i collect a letter from the department where i worked for start and end date and title and get a detailed letter from my supervisor who no longer works at the place. Is there a requirement from USCIS that i should get the letter from the HR Department and not from the department where i worked?
Thanks!

This is just my second post. So you can tell my level of expertise. However, this is what my attorney told me when I was in your situation. It does not matter whether you get the letter from HR or your supervisor. But, it is safe to get one on company letterhead. Yes, if this letter does not contain all the details, you can get a supporting letter from your x-supervisor or x-colleague too (a plain paper is fine).
