My Parents arrived from India on a B-2 visa yesterday. At the Port of Entry (SFO), they were "advised" to get a green card especially since their son was a US Citizen and this was their third trip in 3 years..... for some reason, the immigration officer did not like the fact that my parents were visiting so regularly. My father-in-law had the same experience (both daughters- US Citizens).
Is it ok for me to sponsor them immediately? A local attorney advised us to wait 90 days before initiating the application (something to do with B-2 Tourist Visa and Intent to Immigrate)- I'd rather not wait if I don't have to.
