experience and degree issues

Hi Everybody,

My labor certification process is in the RIR stage and I would appreciate some answers regarding the following issues:

1. The job description says bachelors in computer science or IT required. I don't have a bachelors in "computers" but I have masters in Computers ( bachelors is in mechanical engg. ). But as I mentioned the job doesn't require a masters, it only requires a bachelors. So could my masters prove to be a negative point here as for the sake or argument masters in over qualification. Or it is just that masters in better than a bachelors and if the company didn't find a candidate with bachelors they are free to hire a person with masters. I hope I'm making my point clear here.


2. The job requires 2 yrs work experience in software besides the bachelors degree. I do have a 2 yrs full time work experience but that is before I had fully completed my bachelors degree. I just left in the final semester and took a job in software, worked for 2 years and completed the final semester after 2 years. Is there a problem is considering my work exp before I had fully completed my bachelors degree towards the exp. required for the job.

My companys is sponsering the labor application but I'm losing sleep over these issues.
