Expedited Re-entry Permit Question for Parents

Need an Urgent advice on re-entry permit for my parents. They are supposed to leave on Feb 24th , if I apply through normal process , I may take 1 to 1.5 months. Can the re-entry permit be applied for an emergency situation and request expedited processing?

My mother needs a surgery done in India and they can't come back within the 6 months period. Will a re-entry permit allow them entry after 12 months?

They don't need to get it before they leave. But they do need to get fingerprinting done before they can get it.

She needs a re-entry permit if she stays outside for more than 1 year.

Can i take an Infopass appt and request an expedited reentry permit at the local office?, Its now only 1 month left in their departure.

They don't need a reentry permit if they return within 12 months.

If they apply now, the biometrics notice probably will arrive before Feb. 24. Then once they have the notice in hand they can go for an early walk-in.
