Some get FP notice along with their receipts. Some get even as late as a year. It mostly depends on your place of residence. Places like Atlanta, you may get FP notice faster. Smaller towns, it is generally delayed. I got it after six months. Getting early FP notice does not mean that you would get I 485 approval early. Getting late FP notice is better, because for some reson I485 approval is delayed, you need not re do FP ( INS expires it after 18 months inspite of the fact that lines on fingers do not change). Just relax and let the process take its own course.
