Ex-employer not giving W2 for 2005

I changed my Employer in Jan 2006. My ex-employer is not giving me the W-2 of 2005. The IRS site (http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc154.html) says that I will have to call IRS. Then they will send the ex-employer Form 4598 and then I can fill the alternate form 4852. I checked with some Tax consultants on this. They said that I can fill alternate form 4852 in place of W-2. And I dont need to complaint to IRS.
Should I go to IRS or should I just fill my taxes using form 4852 as the Tax consultant is advising.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
