ex-employer demands money

I used to be on H-1b visa and then married to a citizen and quit my old job and now I have a conditional Green Card. But now my old employer is demanding money @ $1500 for processing my visa and all necessary documents. I;ve worked for about a year for him. I've already paid $500 employer is my distance relation. But he is still asking for the rest of the money but I am not sure if I wanna pay him at all. Can he screw me for not paying money? Can he do anything that can jeopardize my immigration status?? Please let me know.

if your status to be in the US is a conditional GC as a result of marriage to a US citizen, then you have nothing to worry about regarding your ex-employer. there is nothing they can do to you.
