Ex. company attorney sent a lr. to INS

G-28

Hire a new attortney ( reputed one like Shella Murthy, Rajesh Kanna etc) and file a G-28 immediately.
This will help when u get a RFE ( Most probably u will be getting a RFEsince your old attorney is going to inform INS)
Nothing to panic but just hire an attorney ASAP.
Thanks.

hire local attorney -in case u r called for interview

attorney can accompany u if uour case is transferred to local is office and u r called for interview.

yes he can

Any attorney can represent your case.
All he has do is to file a G-28.
but its upto you to hire a new attorney or use the current employer\'s attorney.
Thanks.

Does he have to have an attorney? What if one wants to get rid of the old attorney

and not assign a new one. They are not needed now as all paper work is done. Even if an RFE is issued, and it is not complicated matter, cant one respond to it himself.

If this is possible, can some one let me know how to do this i.e. fire the old attorney and and not assign a new one.

i don\'t think its a good idea

its upto u to choose from saving few bucks or playing safe of your 485 process.
my case, i choose the latter and hired murthy\'s law firm.
they are doing a tremendous job and they contacted TSC thro\' AILA and some other ways to get hold on the your case , in case if your case is very complicated like mine.
for example my RFE was sent on Feb\'6th . I never recevied it.
o Feb\'26th , the AVM changed to reply to RFE was received.
This drove me insane, naturally. Infact my old attorney received the RFE and replied to it and never told me.
So I hired a new attorney and they did a great job by contacting TSC and successfuly made them send a copy of the RFE again and eventually i replied to the RFE on April 30.
my point is we don\'t what is coming up , so its always better to have a good reputed attorney.
