Hello,
I applied for naturalization (I have been permanent resident for more than 6 years and during last five years I have not been out of the US for 30 months or more however one of my trip was for 9 months), my initial interview is done and I got RFE (request for evidence) to prove:
(A) The applicant did not terminate his or her employment in the United States;
(B) The applicant's immediate family remained in the United States;
(C) The applicant retained full access to his or her United States abode; or
(D) The applicant did not obtain employment while abroad

In my case I did not work in US in last five years. One of my trips abroad (1.5 years ago) lasted for 9 months. We did not keep home/apartment while we were away. My husband took job abroad as he was laid off in US. I remained house wife while I was away.

Question – what kind of evidence is needed to prove that I did not work abroad and from which authority I need to obtain that? Apart from tax transcripts (already submitted) what else should I provide to strengthen my case? Please advise.
Thanks.

Show your bank statements during the 9-month trip and tax transcripts.

However the fact that your husband worked abroad when you were abroad with him may count against you. And (C) is a big problem for you.

If your husband is a US citizen, and will have completed at least 3 years* as a US citizen 6 months from now, if you're denied this time you can reapply approx 6 months from now when it's 2 years and 1 day after the end of the 9 month trip, and the 9-month trip won't hurt you.

*and you've also been married to him at least 3 years as of the date you reapply

Hi, my husband went back to our country to study. He even had a reentry permit to the US. But he failed to study because of Covid and he also failed to come bsck to US right away because of the lock down. How can we prove he did not work here if he doesn’t even have any bank account here or even social securit here. USCIS is request for evidence but how can we show nothing? Thank you!
