My wife, a US citizen, has applied for my immigration under i 130. She applied in November, 08. So far all our documentations have been completed at NVC. No more documentation is pending. However, the NVC asked for the original Bengali copy of our Marriage Certificate (we had provided the English copy of the certificate) and we submitted it on August 13, 2009. Now I would like to know:
1. does the NVC's requesting of further documents hint at any possible delays in the documentation procedure?
2. More importantly, how long should the NVC take now to complete my case?
3. Is there any way through which I can speed up the process?
4. Is the fact that I am a muslim guy and have an 'Ahmed' in my name going to lenghten my wait?
Please, anyone who is reading this post, do reply. Each and every bit of information means a lot to me, because I have been waiting patiently for a long time now to complete my process and am suddenly feeling very anxious about the whole thing.
